Россияне сократили денежные переводы в Казахстан, Грузию, Армению и Азербайджан
Согласно статистике центральных банков, в 2024 году продолжилось сокращение объемов денежных переводов из России в соседние страны.
Объем денежных переводов из России в Казахстан за 2024 год составил $132,8 млн, Грузию через системы денежных переводов - $541,2 млн. Объем переводов из России в Армению за 11 месяцев 2024 года (последние данные) сократился на 13%: $3,2 млрд в январе—ноябре 2024 года. В Азербайджан россияне за период с января по сентябрь 2024 года перевели вдвое меньше денег, чем годом ранее - $410,7 млн.
Исключением среди соседних стран стала Киргизия, куда объем денежных переводов за год увеличился на 12%, достигнув почти $2,6 млрд.

Continuing its crackdown against entities allegedly involved in a front-running scam using messaging app Telegram, Sebi on Thursday carried out search and seizure operations at the premises of eight entities in multiple locations across the country. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. Telegram, which does little policing of its content, has also became a hub for Russian propaganda and misinformation. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers. For example, WhatsApp restricted the number of times a user could forward something, and developed automated systems that detect and flag objectionable content. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
