Отверстия в обновленной пешеходной дорожке нужны для высадки ясеней-крупномеров взамен спиленных тополей. В администрации Ижевска процесс создания дыр в новой брусчатке описали так:
«на тротуарах в нормативных расстояниях будут сделаны отверстия, под каждый саженец обустроят сухие колодцы, сажать деревья будут с упакованной корневой системой».
