Одним из странных образцов оружия, которое периодически вспоминают, является Gyrojet. Это пистолеты, карабины и автоматы, которые стреляли очень необычными пулями, Microjets. Представляли они собой мини-ракеты, которым требовалось время на разгон. Выстрел был тихим, поскольку пуля-ракета вылетала со скоростью 30 м/с. После 7 метров полета она разгонялась до 300 м/с, достигая максимального показателя в 380 м/с только на 20 метрах. В общем, болтер не получился, поэтому Gyrojet провалился и на военном, и на гражданском рынке.
Тем не менее его иногда вспоминают. Для Fallout 4 и Fallout: New Vegas, например, есть мод, который добавляет пистолет Gyrojet.
