С 2018 по 2021 год на заводе МБПО-2 в Янино накапливались продукты переработки твёрдых коммунальных отходов. Свалка была одной из самых сложных экологических проблем, которая беспокоила петербуржцев и жителей Ленинградской области в последние годы, сообщил губернатор Александр Беглов.
Предприятие занималось сортировкой ТКО, но продукты оставались на территории. Отходы вывезли на предприятие, которое занимается сбором и утилизацией.
Вывоз начался в июле 2022 года при содействии Комитета по природопользованию Санкт‑Петербурга. За это время совершили 1850 рейсов.
