Я ничего не понял до сих пор, Лишь только то, что счастья в мире нету. Покой и воля - да! Ну, а потом? Какие мне означены приметы?
Я ждал зимы, как тёплой простыни́. Пришёл декабрь, добрый генерал: Москва в снегу, в домах горят огни. Счастливей я от этого не стал.
Что остаётся? Снова ждать любовь? По правде, я от этого устал. Не то чтоб ждать устал… Но это «вновь»… Короче, я счастливее не стал.
Ко мне, как к очевидно подлежащему, Сказуемое Бог подставит сам. Я понимаю каждого упавшего И каждого стократно улетавшего К неведомым и дальним берегам.
