Так томичи отомстили Чехову за его отзыв о городе: "Томск гроша медного не стоит… Скучнейший город… и люди здесь прескучнейшие… Город нетрезвый… Грязь невылазная… на постоялом дворе горничная, подавая мне ложку, вытерла её о зад… Обеды здесь отменные, в отличие от женщин, жестких на ощупь…". Памятник, однако, очень милый и, простите, душевный. Я его очень люблю, он человеческий, в отличие от много чего нашего монументального.

The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. In a statement, the regulator said the search and seizure operation was carried out against seven individuals and one corporate entity at multiple locations in Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar in Gujarat, Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Mumbai.
