Одна из таких машин есть на нашей базе в Жуковском, причем в довольно неплохом состоянии. Восстановление ее летной годности могло бы стать первым шагом к возрождению сверхзвукового авиасообщения в нашей стране.
Для «Туполева» это не первостепенная задача, сейчас мы сконцентрированы на запуске серийного производства Ту-214, но если смотреть в будущее, то сверхзвуковой пассажирский самолет-лаборатория мог бы быть очень полезен.
