My issue with the notion above is that it is a very defeatist way of looking at things. I read that and I get "we'll never be as good as our ancestors were."
We are their descendants and we have it in us to create incredible breath taking art that is relevant to OUR time.
It's wonderful to study and appreciate the art of the past, but I feel like we should use that as inspiration to create and to push ourselves to be better.
It's no secret that a banana duct taped to a wall is terrible art, and that most modern media outlets and museums promote the hell out of that garbage... but that doesn't mean that incredible art doesn't exist or can't exist.
We start by making something small and then by pushing ourselves past the limits of what we originally thought was possible. It's important not to forget where we come from... but it's equally important to remember the living fire that flows within our veins. 🔥

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app. False news often spreads via public groups, or chats, with potentially fatal effects. Pavel Durov, a billionaire who embraces an all-black wardrobe and is often compared to the character Neo from "the Matrix," funds Telegram through his personal wealth and debt financing. And despite being one of the world's most popular tech companies, Telegram reportedly has only about 30 employees who defer to Durov for most major decisions about the platform. Since its launch in 2013, Telegram has grown from a simple messaging app to a broadcast network. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use. While Telegram has been embroiled in controversy for much of its life, it has become a vital source of communication during the invasion of Ukraine. But, if all of this is new to you, let us explain, dear friends, what on Earth a Telegram is meant to be, and why you should, or should not, need to care.
