По данным Сирийского агентства новостей (САНА) в Дамаске состоялась «Конференция победы» с участием Шара, министра иностранных дел Асада Хасана Шейбани и представителей военных группировок страны.
По завершении мероприятия пресс-секретарь Управления военных операций полковник Хасан Абдельгани зачитал итоговую декларацию.
Согаласно этому документу, Шара объявлен президентом Сирии на время переходного периода, он уполномочен представлять страну на международных площадках.
Конференция отменила конституцию 2012 года. Абдель Гани также заявил о роспуске армии, подразделений безопасности и парламента, связанных с режимом Асада.
