Сокращения связаны с уменьшением числа полетов из-за проблем с двигателями Pratt & Whitney на самолетах семейства Airbus A320neo. Лишены работы вторые пилоты пришедших на работу в «Сибирь» с 2019 года, а также командиры, которые ввелись с 2018 года.
Под сокращение попали командиры, имеющие не более 100 часов налета в качестве КВС, а также те, кому до пенсии оставалось всего несколько десятков часов налета.
