«По мере того как администрация в Вашингтоне разворачивает свою работу, возникает много разных коммуникаций, и эти коммуникации ведутся по разным каналам, и, конечно, на фоне множественности этих коммуникаций я лично могу чего-то не знать, быть не в курсе чего-то. Поэтому в данном случае я не могу это ни подтвердить, ни опровергнуть», — сказал он.

Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers. Andrey, a Russian entrepreneur living in Brazil who, fearing retaliation, asked that NPR not use his last name, said Telegram has become one of the few places Russians can access independent news about the war. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app.
