В крымских пабликах пишут, что инцидент произошел вечером 23 февраля в поселке Черноморское. Вооруженные мужчины (утверждается, что они были пьяны) ворвались в кафе «Крепость» и положили посетителей лицом в пол. На видео попало избиение как минимум одного гостя кафе, но в пабликах пишут, что военные били и других посетителей — включая женщин. По видимому, этому предшествовал бытовой конфликт.
На лысых мужчинах без униформы можно заметить футболки с принтом медвежьей лапы и надписью «BEAR» — вероятно, это бойцы местной «ЧВК Медведь». Их связывают с «ЧВК Редут», подконтрольной ГРУ Минобороны.
