Несколько дней назад все обсуждали ребрендинг журнала Wday.ru (сейчас уже — theDay.ru), а мы взяли и расспросили главного редактора, Юлю Серикову , зачем и как они это сделали.

1. Юля, аудитория диджитал медиа достаточно консервативна: любят читать определенные рубрики, есть пул своих любимых героев. Как вы решились на ребрендинг? Что вас мотивировало?

Дело в том, что пару лет назад проект сменил позиционирование. Мы заметили рост читательского интереса к темам, связанным с психологией и самопознанием, поэтому стали постепенно увеличивать долю такого контента. Аудитории эти изменения понравились, и со временем мы решили отразить обновленную концепцию еще и в названии — theDay. В нем мы хотели подчеркнуть, что каждый день — повод узнать себя лучше, уделить время своему физическому и ментальному здоровью и, как следствие, стать счастливее.

Дело в том, что пару лет назад проект сменил позиционирование. Мы заметили рост читательского интереса к темам, связанным с психологией и самопознанием, поэтому стали постепенно увеличивать долю такого контента. Аудитории эти изменения понравились, и со временем мы решили отразить обновленную концепцию еще и в названии — theDay. В нем мы хотели подчеркнуть, что каждый день — повод узнать себя лучше, уделить время своему физическому и ментальному здоровью и, как следствие, стать счастливее.

Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
