Сегодня начала свою работу II Всероссийская научная конференция молодых ближневосточников «Армия и военные традиции на Ближнем Востоке» — совместный проект Института востоковедения и африканистики НИУ ВШЭ СПб и Института восточных рукописей РАН.
В первый день конференции мы разглядывали предметы из коллекции Государственного Эрмитажа под рассказ приглашенного эксперта Елены Игоревны Малоземовой, узнали больше о доисламской Аравии, о жертвенности женщин-воинов в раннем иудаизме, об отношениях венецианцев и мамлюков в позднее средневековье и отражениях их в итальянском искусстве, провели камерную секцию по исследованию ближневосточного оружия, а также примерили на себя образ настоящего мамлюка и его тренировочную рутину.

Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs.
