По словам управляющего директора ПАО «Туполев» Вадима Королева, Казанский авиационный завод намерен провести модернизацию производства общей стоимостью около 23 млрд рублей. По плану предстоит строительство нескольких новых цехов и логистического центра.
Вторая очередь модернизации необходима для увеличения производства Ту-214. В результате Казанский авиазавод должен выйти на ежегодный выпуск 20 самолетов год начиная с 2027 года. Общая программа модернизации оценивается в 83 млрд рублей. Заводу потребуется 2 тыс. новых работников.
