Ну так вот. К чему эта преамбула? If I Survive You – идеальный участник короткого списка. В нем есть все, что нужно: автор с Ямайки плюс тема национальной идентичности. Несчастный герой все никак не может разобраться черный он или белый? Для черных он – белый, а для белых – черный. Как с этим жить? И плюсом вокруг история семьи, выдержанная в разных повествовательных стилях. На меня почти что повеяло духом Марлона Джеймса.
