-"find" land
-forcibly expel people on the land you found

I understand I've been harping on the political side more recently, but earth-based spirituality MUST be political or it is without teeth. Those who venerate the spirits of trees and rivers and mountains MUST be honest with ourselves about the effects that capitalist "society" has had on the existence of such. Capitalism only knows growth, like a virus, like a cancer. It is inherent within the very fabric of the system to devour resources like the land, the very resources that are a core part of our craft and religious beliefs.

Do you respect the fair folk and the mounds they inhabit? Do you revere the sprites and the streams they frequent? Do you follow the witch-mother and her riders in the skies? You cannot do this and support those who unthinkingly bulldoze and pollute their residence for profit.

To be druidic and have any backbone at all IS TO BE ANTICAPITALIST.

I sit on the very edge of terror for the direction things are going in, and the deep hope that it is all temporary, that we are coming to the edge of something new. The massive public uprising against ICE raids, against genocide by governments across nations, against corporate greed, all points to me that we have learned something from the past, even if the repeating of the cycle itself was inevitable.

Can we actually break the cycle?

The controversy over Cracker Barrel's logo is just the latest incarnation of the continuing problem of land ownership. These executives feel that they have to simplify everything in order to boost resale value. Everything whether new or nostalgic must conform to the standards of sellability. Any object must either produce a profit or be able to produce a profit when transferring ownership, whether that is a person, building, or natural resource. You and all that you care about are nothing but a means of income to the rich. The answer cannot simply be to change the ownership of the means of production and profit to the collective, but to completely abolish these ideas entirely.

Nature knows no kings and no owners.

And for those who may find this opinion on the feral side of responses to the situation understand that I have not yet begun to hit max inhuman, bestial status on this channel. These are just the opinions I feel are tame enough for the general Telegram public to digest.
