El 2 de septiembre, en la UNAM se celebró la Mesa Redonda Abierta "El Nuevo Orden Petrolero Mundial: el Impacto para México. Una visión desde México y Rusia", organizada por el Centro de Estudios México-Rusia con el apoyo de la Embajada de Rusia en México.
Al evento asistieron expertos de los circuitos académicos mexicanos
y diplomáticos rusos.
Los temas principales fueron "Geopolítica y petróleo", "Industria petrolera mundial", "Industria petrolera mexicana", "Transición energética".
Los participantes hicieron presentaciones respectivas y en el transcurso de un fructifero debate intercambiaron puntos de vista sobre las tendencias actuales en el mercado mundial de la energía, el impacto de las sanciones ilegales de Occidente contra Rusia para la industria de energía, la descarbonización de la economía y las oportunidades para ampliar el uso de recursos energéticos alternativos.
