Участники волонтерской программы Shnat Sherut 50 Plus (обычно так — «шнат шерут» — называют год волонтерства перед армией у израильской молодежи) занимаются всем: от ремонта домов до поддержки общинных проектов. Эдна, например, ухаживает за животными, а ее муж Эяль проводит занятия для школьников.
Такое волонтерство работает в обе стороны: и дает деятельным пенсионерам возможность участвовать в жизни страны, и возвращает надежду в травмированный регион, которому сейчас как никогда нужны поддержка и объятия. Ну, и Машиах, получается, тоже где-то рядом 😉
