روى الطبراني في الدعاء (٨٧٨) بإسناد جيد أن ابن عمر كان يرفع صوته عشية عرفة يقول:
«لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير، اللهم اهدنا بالهدى وزينا بالتقوى واغفر لنا في الآخرة والأولى، ثم يخفض صوته ثم يقول:
اللهم إني أسألك من فضلك وعطائك رزقًا طيبًا مباركًا، اللهم أنت أمرت بالدعاء وقضيت على نفسك بالإجابة.
ربِّ وأنت لا يخلف وعدك ولا يكذب عهدك اللهم ما أحببت من خير فحببه إلينا ويسره لنا، وما كرهت من شر فكرهه إلينا وجنبناه، ولا تنزع منا الإسلام بعد إذ أعطيته لنا يا أرحم الراحمين».

Oleksandra Matviichuk, a Kyiv-based lawyer and head of the Center for Civil Liberties, called Durov’s position "very weak," and urged concrete improvements. On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. Pavel Durov, a billionaire who embraces an all-black wardrobe and is often compared to the character Neo from "the Matrix," funds Telegram through his personal wealth and debt financing. And despite being one of the world's most popular tech companies, Telegram reportedly has only about 30 employees who defer to Durov for most major decisions about the platform.
