Группа иркутян с октября 2024 года по январь 2025 года организовала три игорных зала в разных районах города. Казино обнаружили и закрыли сотрудники УФСБ России по Иркутской области. При обыске в залах изъяли 117 игровых автоматов, 30 компьютеров, которые использовались для азартных игр, ноутбуки, документы, деньги, телефоны, дорогие автомобили.
Следователи СУ СКР по Иркутской области возбудили уголовное дело.

Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments. Just days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Durov wrote that Telegram was "increasingly becoming a source of unverified information," and he worried about the app being used to "incite ethnic hatred."
