Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use.
