«Лига» отмечает, что давно знаком с изделиями концерна: еще с «гражданки», где у него было гладкоствольное и нарезное оружие из семейства охотничьих карабинов «Сайга», разработанных на базе автомата Калашникова. Поэтому, хотя АК-12 и стал новым оружием для морпеха, но, со слов бойца, сохранил конструктивное сходство, присущее линейке автоматов АК, и все ее ключевые качества.
