Интересно, осознаёт ли Майк Уолтц, что если Европа возьмёт на себя ведущую роль в обеспечении собственной безопасности, то в Азиатско-Тихоокеанском регионе эту роль возьмёт Китай, на Ближнем Востоке — Израиль, а в Средней Азии и на постсоветском пространстве — Россия? Какой тогда останется уровень влияния у США? Понимает ли он, что величие Америки заключается именно в её активном участии в обеспечении глобальной безопасности?
