Мэр города Илья Середюк заявил, что новая система позволит не только обеспечить дополнительную безопасность местных жителей, но и позволит предотвращать случаи вандализма, а также упростит процедуру расследования преступлений. Записи с камер видеонаблюдения будут передавать в полицию и подозреваемые будут задержаны по горячим следам.
На установку камер потратили 1 млн рублей. Они будут работать всистеме «Безопасный город».
Все это, конечно, хорошо, но гарантируют ли власти регулярно следить за этими камерами. Или просматривать их будут только тогда, когда в городе что-то случится? Будет ли польза от такого дорого оборудования еще предстоит узнать.
