К сожалению, не стало чудесной манулочки Штупси из немецкого зоопарка Хеллабрунн. Её не стало 17 января, ей было 8 лет.
Приносим наши искренние соболезнования всем сотрудникам зоопарка, киперам Штупси, которые любили и заботились о ней, всем мануломанам в мире и её сестре Плюши, с которой они прожили всю жизнь вместе 🙏
Местные мануломаны рассказывали нам, что сёстры любили переглядываться. Поэтому, если одну из сестёр было не видно, то нужно смотреть, куда поглядывала другая – там и находилась вторая кошка👀
Прекрасная Марлен Дитрих мира манулов, нам всем будет тебя не хватать! 💔 Ласковой, бескрайней и сытой небесной степи тебе, пушистая девочка!

Sadly, the wonderful manul Stubsi from Hellabrunn Zoo in Germany has passed away on January 17th of 2025 at the age of 8.
Our deepest condolences to all the zoo staff, Stubsi’s keepers who loved and cared for her, all manul lovers around the world, and her sister Pluschi, with whom she spent her entire life together 🙏
Local manulovers told us that the sisters loved to exchange gazes. So if one of them wasn’t visible, you just had to look where the other was gazing – that’s where the latter sister would be 👀
A true Marlene Dietrich of the manul world, we will all miss you dearly! 💔 May you roam the soft, boundless, and abundant heavenly steppe, fluffy girl!

In 2014, Pavel Durov fled the country after allies of the Kremlin took control of the social networking site most know just as VK. Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks.
