Специалист возглавлял челябинский клуб на протяжении трёх сезонов. За это время местная команда не только стала настоящей семьей, но и постепенно шла к поставленным целям, показывая достойный результат.
В сезоне 2020/2021 под его руководством челябинцы впервые в истории попали в топ-8 своей конференции. По итогам регулярного чемпионата 2022/2023 коллектив вошёл в пятёрку лучших в дивизионе. В 2024 году «Южный Урал» стал бронзовым призёром «Востока».
