Издание утверждает, что спикер НС Ален Симонян изначально поддерживал кандидатуру Арпи Давоян (которую усиленно "проталкивал" глава комиссии по вопросам обороны и безопасности Андраник Кочарян). Однако делал он это лишь в целях скорейшего смещения Григора Минасяна.
Теперь же Симонян, создав коалицию с шурином Грачьей Акопяном, выступает за выдвижение Сисака Габриеляна, что сильно не нравится Кочаряну. При этом ранее в СМИ ходили слухи о возможном назначении Арусяк Джулакян.

Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change.
