В провинции Даръа на юге Сирии, граничащей с оккупированными Израилем Голанскими высотами, одновременно вспыхнуло сразу несколько восстаний.

Местные радикалы, воодушевленные победами боевиков в Хаме и Хомсе, захватили несколько деревень, отобрали у местных солдат и полицейских вооружение с техникой, включая бронеавтомобили и даже танки, а самих их взяли в плен.

Данный регион всегда являлся проблемным и считался "колыбелью революции", которую удалось вернуть под контроль лишь после тяжелых боев и череду последовательных процессов применения с вывозом наиболее отпетых радикалов. Но очевидно, что в Даръа все еще оставалось множество противников Асада, которые сейчас подняли голову.

Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. But Kliuchnikov, the Ukranian now in France, said he will use Signal or WhatsApp for sensitive conversations, but questions around privacy on Telegram do not give him pause when it comes to sharing information about the war. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill.
