Исполняющим обязанности директора USAID назначен госсекретарь Марко Рубио, а на другие руководящие посты утверждены новые представители администрации.
Ранее суд временно запретил агентству сокращать сотрудников, однако 21 февраля вынес решение в пользу администрации Трампа, разрешив увольнения, административные отпуска и закрытие зарубежных представительств.
В ответ на эти меры представители 14 штатов подали иск против Трампа и Илона Маска, который возглавляет Департамент эффективности государственного управления (DOGE).
