Магнитуда землетрясения в юго-западной части Байкальского разлома, в 18 км к северо-востоку от поселка Монды Тункинского района Бурятии, составила 3,2 балла. В Мондах сила толчков составила 2 балла, их жители села практически не заметили. Соответственно, жертв и разрушений нет.
Очаг землетрясения залегал на глубине 10 км.
Предыдущее землетрясение на российско-монгольской границе произошло 10 дней назад, 27 декабря.
