Сотрудник американской газеты Wall Street Journal Эван Гершкович задержан в Екатеринбурге по подозрению в шпионаже, возбуждено уголовное дело, сообщает ФСБ России в четверг.
"Пресечена противоправная деятельность корреспондента московского бюро американской газеты The Wall Street Journal гражданина США Гершковича Эвана, подозреваемого в шпионаже в интересах американского правительства", - говорится в релизе.
По данным ФСБ, Гершкович собирал секретную информацию "о деятельности одного из предприятий российского военно-промышленного комплекса" и был задержан при попытке получения сведений,составляющих государственную тайну.
"В отношении гражданина США возбуждено уголовное дело по статье 276 УК РФ (шпионаж)", - добавляется в сообщении.
