В 2014 году Магдалина вышла на утреннюю пробежку в родном Дебальцево. На дороге увидела, как местные строят блокпост, готовые отстаивать свой родной край. Девушка осталась на том блокпосту и домой с пробежки уже не вернулась. Так она стала снайпером. Так начался ее боевой путь.
Сейчас в арсенале Магдалины-Маши несколько винтовок. Любимая – носит то же имя, что и хозяйка. Маша. Поэтому наш фильм называется «Маша+Маша»: героиня-снайпер и ее винтовка.
В качестве художественного приема – фрагменты спектакля Макеевского театра. Главная героиня постановки – тоже девушка-снайпер Маша. Эти две истории – реальной и вымышленной –переплетаются в нашем фильме.
