و تصور می‌کنند کشورهایی که آمار رسمی‌شان پایین است (مثلاً هند) کورونا را به‌خوبی مهار کرده‌اند.

این سؤال که چرا برخی از کشورهای همسایه ما پوشش واکسن کمی دارند و نکات ایمنی را چندان رعایت نمی‌کنند اما آمار تلفات کمی دارند هم سؤالی‌ست که یکی دو سال است زیاد شنیده می‌شود.

آلمان یکی از کشورهایی است که آمار رسمی جانباختگان کووید-۱۹ در آن با آمار واقعی تفاوت زیادی ندارد؛

Andrey, a Russian entrepreneur living in Brazil who, fearing retaliation, asked that NPR not use his last name, said Telegram has become one of the few places Russians can access independent news about the war. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. "And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights. Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences. "For Telegram, accountability has always been a problem, which is why it was so popular even before the full-scale war with far-right extremists and terrorists from all over the world," she told AFP from her safe house outside the Ukrainian capital.
