8 сентября 2024 года епископ Оломоуцко-Брненской епархии Исаия (Сланинка) направил письмо, в котором выразил свое несогласие с заявлением Священного Синода Православной Церкви Чешских земель и Словакии от 3 сентября. В этом заявлении Синод выступил в поддержку Украинской Православной Церкви и ее предстоятеля Блаженнейшего Митрополита Онуфрия, а также осудил принятый Верховной Радой Украины закон, направленный на ограничение деятельности религиозных организаций, связанных с государством-агрессором.
Епископ Исаия раскритиковал Синод за то, что тот не осудил российскую агрессию против Украины и не высказался в отношении действий патриарха Кирилла, который поддерживает эту агрессию.
