Last call for applications! The InteRussia Fellowship in Oriental Studies is your chance to conduct cutting-edge research in Moscow at the Institute of Oriental Studies RAS from April 1 to April 29, 2025 — with full funding provided!

Who can apply?

This fellowship is open to researchers from Post-Soviet countries, the Middle East, and North Africa who specialize in archaeology, history, or political science.

Eligible applicants must:

🔵 Be 24-39 years old
🔵 Hold a PhD or be a postgraduate researcher, or have at least 3 years of experience in a research institution or think tank
🔵 Have C1-level English proficiency

❌ Applicants must not currently live, work, or study in Russia

What does the fellowship offer?

🔵 Academic guidance from leading scholars
🔵 Access to historical archives, archaeological collections, and research centers in Moscow
🔵 Participation in expert discussions, networking, and cultural immersion
🔵 The opportunity to develop a research paper based on an independent project
