Маршрут мыс Шмидта – посёлок Эгвекинот, протяженностью более 300 км, военнослужащие преодолели на двухзвенных снегоболотоходах ДТ-10П "Витязь". На отдельных этапах выполнялись боевые стрельбы из стрелкового оружия и крупнокалиберных пулемётов.
