There is this speech in Steel Ball Run by the President of the United States.
It goes something like: when you sit at a round table, the seats are only apparently democratic. If you are the first to seize a napkin, be it on your left or on your right, you will be the one that decides what napkin all the other get.
I think often about this speech.
I surely thought about it this morning, when there were no places where to park my car, and I was in a hurry, and decided to park it anyway in a place where there *was* room to park and there *was* still room to go around my car in a safe way but decidedly there was *not* a diirect designation.
As i left my car, and took a last glance at it, and saw another person park directly behind me, I indeed thought "yes, seize the napkin"

In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. Messages are not fully encrypted by default. That means the company could, in theory, access the content of the messages, or be forced to hand over the data at the request of a government. However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors.
