Today, Monday, our SDF forces repelled an attempted infiltration and attack by Turkish occupation mercenaries on the village of al-Alia, west of Tal Tamir town. Clashes erupted with the attacker mercenaries resulting in three mercenaries were eliminated, two others were wounded, and a military vehicle equipped with a DShk machine gun was destroyed. The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are trying to ignite all fronts, in an attempt to relieve pressure on themselves in the fronts of the Tishreen Dam and Qara Qwzaq Bridge. The SDF remains vigilant and will resolutely respond to any aggression aimed at the security of northern and eastern Syria.

Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. "And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights. Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." False news often spreads via public groups, or chats, with potentially fatal effects. Either way, Durov says that he withdrew his resignation but that he was ousted from his company anyway. Subsequently, control of the company was reportedly handed to oligarchs Alisher Usmanov and Igor Sechin, both allegedly close associates of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
