این جلسه تماما به بررسی یک کیس استادی گذشت: یک کیس استادی در مورد یک مطالعه در دانشگاه برکلی که در بین ۱۴۴ دانشجوی رشته‌ی ام بی ای این دانشگاه تاپ هیچ کدام‌شان نتوانسته بودند ۸ سوال نسبتا ساده و بنیادین در مورد تغییرات آب و هوایی را به درستی پاسخ بدهند. اصل موضوع این بود که آگاهی در مورد مسائل عمومی در بین مردم تا چه حد باید عمیق باشد؟ مثلا تا چه اندازه باید از تغییرات آب و هوایی بدانند؟ آیا اگر کم بدانند اما درست عمل کنند خوب است؟ آیا درست عمل کردن کافی نیست و باید دانش هم زیاد شود؟
یک کتابی هم توی اسلایدها معرفی کرد: Rules of Experts- Egypt- thechno politics, Modernity. نوشته‌ی تیموتی میشل. به فارسی ترجمه نشده این کتاب. رفتم مقدمه‌ی این کتاب را یک تورقی کردم. خیلی سنگین بود و راستش از آن کتاب‌های «بزن زیر میز». چون حس کردم نویسنده‌اش خیلی از قوانین دنیای قشنگ نو را می‌خواهد به چالش بکشد. اگر فرصت داشتم حتما با دقت می‌خواندمش.

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. 'Wild West' At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. "And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights.
