Осетия глазами художников. Осетин и осетинка 200 лет назад

🎨 Русский график немецкого происхождения, литограф и акварелист Карл БЕГГРОВ (1799-1875) получил классическое образование в Петербургской академии художеств.

Уже в молодом возрасте он создал серию гравюр «Народы, живущие между Каспийским и Черным морем». Они вышли отдельным альбомом в 1822 году. Возможно, благодаря этому и сохранились 200 с лишним лет спустя.

В серии два его рисунка (бумага, литография, акварель) – «Осетинец» и «Осетинка» – дают нам представление, какими увидел художник наших предков в то далекое время.

Альбом имеется в Российской государственной библиотеке, а также в Государственном музее истории российской литературы им. В.И. Даля.
