They threw the dice one by one
spun in the air
arced through dust-motes, sunlit
free— rolled and rolled
bone on earthen floor
until a double six
the witnesses’ eyes are widened —
unblinking
not merely circled
nor merely seen
but woven between where was and where will be
a ring of happiness within their ring
a pattern traced in invisible hands
where beads led them home
— bright and deep
where ancient spirits breathe
a woven, sacred space
a home of souls
in time and timeless grace
where in turning of circle
my soul forevermore became one with yours

ترجمه به فارسی:
تاس‌ها را یکی یکی انداختند
چرخان در هوا
در پرتو آفتاب از میان ذرات غبار گذشتند
رها— غلتان پی هم غلتیده
تاس بر روی زمین خاکی
تا آن‌که جفت شش نشست
چشمان شاهدان گشاده —
بی پلک‌زدنی
نه فقط حلقه خورده
نه فقط دیده شده
نقش بسته بین آنجا که بود و آنجا که خواهد بود
حلقه‌ای از شادی در حلقه آنها
نقشی نگاشته در دستانی ناپیدا
جایی که مهره‌ها آنها را به خانه رساندند—
درخشنده و ژرف
آنجا که ارواح کهن نفس می‌کشند
جایی مقدس
در هم تنیده
خانه‌ای از جان‌ها
در زمان و در فیض بی‌زمان
آنجا در چرخش این دایره
روحم تا ابد با روح تو یکی شد
