Ещё один советский летающий монстр -- В-12 (также известный как Ми-12), самый тяжёлый и грузоподъёмный вертолёт в мире.

Разрабатывался в 60-х для перевозки компонентов баллистических ракет и был доведён до реально летавших образцов (в т.ч. того что на фото).

Но в итоге РВСН перешли на более компактные ракеты, а прочие грузо- и пассажироперевозки такого масштаба (44 тонн или 220 человек!) оказалось проще возить самолётами или несколькими "обычными" вертолётами.

Так что в серию не пошёл.
