The situation in Aleppo is critical for Damascus.

The city is almost completely under the control of the HTS.
The militants have stopped trying to expand their influence inside the city. There are now only 1,500 to 2,500 of them in a city of one million. They simply don't have enough forces and resources (1-2 days needed).
The Russians and Iranians do not have the forces to stop the HTS advance.
Many government units have fled or betrayed Assad today.
The situation is now shrouded in the fog of war.
Capable SAA units are already arriving and moving into the battle zone. The Iranians need a few more days. The Russians are carrying out effective air strikes and their special forces are targeting Aleppo.
The Turks and the Jews are happy.
The Kurds do not know whether to flee or to bargain with HTS like a hen and a housewife before a holiday dinner.
