«Пойду-пойду-пойду», — сказал Александр Лукашенко, для которого сейчас идет шестой президентский срок.
По словам Лукашенко, «[ни один] ответственный президент не бросит своих людей, которые за ним шли в бой». Обращаясь к белорусской оппозиции за рубежом, политик сказал, что уже начался «электоральный цикл» и Белоруссию «будут качать до президентских выборов». Белорусский лидер тогда подчеркнул, что за год «многое может измениться».

Тогда на выборах проголосовали чуть более 5,8 млн граждан Белоруссии, в том числе порядка 2,8 млн — в ходе предварительного голосования. Лукашенко получил 4,66 млн голосов, Тихановская — 588 000. После дня выборов в республике начались массовые протесты.

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. Additionally, investors are often instructed to deposit monies into personal bank accounts of individuals who claim to represent a legitimate entity, and/or into an unrelated corporate account. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks.
