Как сообщила пресс-служба подводных сил Атлантического флота ВМС США, подводный атомоход сменил прописку и перебрался из ВМБ Гротон в новый пункт постоянного базирования в Норфолке. Одновременно он «стал в строй» поредевшей 6-ой эскадры пл ВМС США. Что-то подобное ожидалось после того, как в конце сентября прошлого года в составе 6-ой эскадры осталось всего четыре подводных лодки (два «Лося» и две «Виргинии»). К тому же, в этом году оное соединение должна покинуть и пла «Пасадина» (USS Pasadena). А значит, в Норфолк перебазируется еще какая-то единичка.
Для протокола: гарантийный ремонт пла «Орегон», который длился год и два с половиной месяца, завершился 12-го ноября 2024-го года, а 3-го марта лодка оставила Гротон и направилась в Норфолк.
