Амура уже не боится людей, хоть и предпочитает во время экскурсий держаться в стороне. По соседству живет тигр Тихон, с которым она подружилась и периодически ласково переговаривается.
У Амуры так и отсутствует часть нижней челюсти, которую она получила после столкновения с автомобилем еще в природе. Однако это не мешает ей во время приемов пищи - кошки "разделывают" добычу задними зубами или могут просто слизывать верхний слой мяса шершавым языком.
