🇺🇸🚨 A big section of the Santa Cruz pier in California collapsed into the ocean, pulling multiple individuals into the water.
City workers were still present on the pier when the 150-foot segment detached and began floating away following a large swell with waves reaching up to 25 feet.
Two workers were rescued by lifeguards, while one managed to swim to shore. Two of the workers were hospitalized with injuries.
The National Weather Service Bay Area has urged residents to avoid the ocean, warning that waves could reach heights of up to 60 feet. The cause of the collapse is under investigation.

Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. READ MORE In a message on his Telegram channel recently recounting the episode, Durov wrote: "I lost my company and my home, but would do it again – without hesitation."
