اظهرت عدة دراسات ان الأشخاص المتعاطفين مع أنفسهم هم أكثر سعادة وتفاؤل وامتنان مقارنة بغيرهم اذ يعد التصالح مع الذات طريقا واضحا لتحقيق السعادة ويمكن تحقيقه عن طريق الخطوات التالية:
1-لاحظ كيف تتحدث إلى نفسك والنبرة اللتي تستخدمها...
2-اخبر ذاتك الانتقادية انها تسبب لك الألم....
3- أعد صياغة الانتقاد لجعله بناء....
4- كن الطف مع نفسك....
5-اخبر نفسك أن هذا هو التوتر وان هذه هي المعاناة...
6- تذكر دائما أن الجميع يعانون...
7- التربيت على ذراعك يساعدك على التصالح مع ذاتك...... لا تستغرب الأمر جربها بنفسك🙂.....
8-فكر بموقف صعب مررت به سابقا وتمكنت من تجاوزه... تذكر انجازاتك .....
