دیوید منسر، سخنگوی دولت اسرائیل از دفتر ملی دیپلماسی عمومی در دفتر نخست‌وزیری، ساعتی پیش و در جلسه ویژه بروزرسانی، از معلق شدن تسکیل کابینه امنیتی اسرائیل به دلیل بازی‌های لحظه آخری حماس در خصوص شروط توافق خبر داد و چنین گفت: «حماس از توافق آزادی گروگان‌ها تخطی کرده و در لحظات آخر بحرانی ایجاد کرده تا امتیازات بیشتری بگیرد. به همین دلیل، کابینه اسرائیل نمی‌تواند برای تصویب این توافق تشکیل جلسه دهد. تا زمانی که واسطه‌ها اسرائیل را مطلع نکنند که حماس تمام عناصر توافق که قبلاً پذیرفته شده بود را پذیرفته است، جلسه کابینه تشکیل نخواهد شد.»
